Job Description

As an Associate Attorney, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through estate planning, administrations and/or elder law processes. This includes giving legal counsel, representing clients and seeking the best possible outcome for them. Client goals are assessed and a plan developed for accomplishment. Creating and fulfilling that plan is then carried out by the Associate Attorney with the collaboration and support of other team members, guided by firm standard operating procedures. Associate Attorneys have opportunities to continue their education to stay on top of legal developments and relevant law changes. Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with clients to assess their goals and develop a case plan to accomplish the desired outcome.
  • Collaborate with firm support staff to carry out developed case plans.
  • Manage caseload, ensuring efficient and effective case management.
  • Conduct legal research, draft documents, and participate in client meetings as delegated by senior attorneys.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Participate with executive team, attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to develop and achieve firm goals.
  • Ensure all activities comply with applicable ethical standards and legal regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Great communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership.
  • Preference for prior estate planning, probate and trust administration, and elder law experience.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, diplomacy and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and work efficiently within scope of firm’s standard operating procedures.
