We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst I in Emeryville, California. This role is primarily focused on providing technical support in the field of information technology. The workplace involves a dynamic environment where the successful candidate will be responsible for addressing hardware and software issues, specifically related to POS (Point of Sales) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities:

• Handle and resolve issues related to basic computer hardware, including POS systems.
• Provide support for desktop and server operating systems, with a particular focus on Windows Desktop and Server.
• Utilize a range of diagnostic utilities to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Adhere to the fundamental principles of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library).
• Use ticket management systems to track and report issues.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a focus on building rapport, listening and questioning.
• Maintain strong documentation skills to record all interactions and solutions.
• Demonstrate fluency in English language skills.
• Provide deskside support and assist in configuration management.
• Stay updated on the latest protocols in desktop hardware and POS - Point of Sale systems.• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or relevant field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and its core functionalities.
• Knowledge and understanding of computer hardware, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Experience in Configuration Management, including maintaining and improving system performance.
• Proven experience in Deskside Support, including providing technical assistance to users.
• Understanding of Desktop Hardware and its components.
• Knowledge of POS - Point of Sale systems and their operation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
