A growing Wholesale Import and Distribution Company, importing Indian Food products, 20 + years in business is currently seeking an Import / Logistics Co-Ordinator. This is a full-time on-site role, at the Company’s Head Quarters, located in South Plainfield, NJ. Responsibilities: Coordinate with freight forwarders and select shipping line based on shipping rate and transit time. Receive, review and process import documentation from the suppliers. Coordinate with shipping brokers, clearing Agents, FDA and USDA to release the shipments. Coordinate with drayage companies and bring the shipment to the warehouse on-time to avoid demurrage. Responsible for monitoring the unloading of containers and return of empty containers to the port on time to avoid any detention charges. Handle domestic trucking for LTL/FTL to ensure timely delivery. Work well with internal and external customers. Qualifications: Experience in Import / Export related job Proficiency in Microsoft Office Advanced knowledge of Excel Ability to work in a collaborative team environment Pay: $60,000 - $65,000 per year Benefits: 401(k) Health Insurance Dental Insurance Paid Time Off
