Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a Mammography Technologist to support our client's hospital facility in Kingman, AZ . This is a 13-weeks travel contract role.

Duties:

• Screening and diagnostic mammograms, needle localizations and stereotactic breast biopsies. Ability to also do x-rays is preferred.
• Under the direction of the Radiologist and the Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS), administers ionizing radiation for the purpose of diagnosis which includes positioning the x-ray beam with respect to the patient, anatomically positioning the patient, selecting exposure factors, and initiating exposure.
• Uses professional judgment to adapt imaging procedures to ensure quality diagnostic outcomes.
• After reviewing all pertinent data and assessing the patient’s abilities and condition, selects the most appropriate patient care plan.
• Selects appropriate shielding devices and appropriate immobilization devices.
• Assesses factors that may contraindicate the procedure, such as medications or insufficient patient preparation.
• Reconfirms patient identification using two unique identifiers (Name and DOB) and verifies procedure requested. Verifies female patient pregnancy status when appropriate.
• Able to recognize significant clinical information and historical facts, from the patient and from the medical record, which may impact the examination.
• Monitors patient and equipment during procedures, accurately documents exam times (start and stop), patient reactions or problems, and reports concerns or issues immediately to supervisor.
• Documents patient and exam occurrences in the appropriate Imaging software database, to include exam start and complete times.

Licensure, Registration, And/or Certification Required:

• Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program
• urrent registration and licensure in Mammography by the Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS(M))
• Current registration and licensure in Mammography by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT(M))
• American Heart Association BLS
• Experience using Meditech
• Experience using Hologic 3D/Tomo

Shift Time : M-F and Saturdays 9:30-6pm (M-F) and 8-430p on Saturdays (occasional).

Location : Kingman, AZ

Floating Requirements : NA.

Pay range : $2,872.80 weekly package

*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise and education.
