Role Overview:
As a Product Manager for Personal Lines Property underwriting, you will be at the forefront of managing our core products. This includes overseeing the product's overall profitability, forecasting revenue, and developing strategies to drive growth. You'll be responsible for creating internal and external product materials, user guides, and training documents, as well as crafting detailed management reports to influence sales, revenue growth, and customer performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Product Management:
- Manage the Personal Lines Property underwriting product, including overall P&L.
- Forecast revenue and develop strategies for product enhancement, pricing, and bundling to drive sales.
- Create and maintain internal and external product materials, user guides, and training documents.
- Develop comprehensive management reports to monitor and influence sales and revenue growth.

- Product Support:
- Support the Personal Lines Property underwriting product by resolving customer, finance, and technical issues.
- Collaborate with teams across product, sales, finance, IT, and operations to ensure effective delivery of product capabilities and messaging.

- Sales Support:
- Assist the Sales team with product materials, training, meeting support, and go-to-market messaging.
- Help with prospective client testing and new client onboarding, working closely with the Operations team.

- Research and Industry Engagement:
- Stay proficient in the Personal Lines Property insurance industry through participation in industry events, competitive research, and collaboration with business partners and third-party suppliers.

- Product Development:
- Drive year-over-year revenue growth through new customer acquisition, existing customer usage, and new product features.
- Manage product financial performance, including pipeline management, revenue forecasting, and customer performance reviews.
- Partner with Sales for customer meetings, proposals, and product pricing.
- Collaborate with Marketing on product messaging and collateral.
- Work with Operations on customer proof of concept tests and implementations.
- Partner with IT to manage development needs and roadmaps.
- Support new customer implementations and respond to market needs and customer feedback.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or insurance designations (e.g., CPCU) are preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in Personal Lines Property insurance with a proven track record in underwriting, product management, or product development.
- Strong understanding of the Personal Lines Property insurance market, including underwriting practices, distribution channels, and rating processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to address complex business problems and identify opportunities.
- Motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, revenue-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management and industry professionals.
- Sales-focused with experience in competitive intelligence gathering.
- Willingness to travel periodically (10-20% of the time) to various locations including offices, customer sites, and industry events.
