Job Summary: The Sr SEO Coordinator will play a critical role in enhancing our clients' online presence and driving organic growth. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of SEO best practices and the ability to implement effective strategies across various digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SEO, a proven track record of improving search engine rankings, an inclination for problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities: Strategy Development and Execution: - Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic.
- Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities and trends.
- Collaborate with content, graphics, and external third parties to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all digital content and website initiatives.
On-Page and Off-Page Optimization: - Perform on-page optimization, including meta tags, header tags, URL structure, and internal linking.
- Conduct local SEO optimization for Google Business Profile, Bing, Apple, and Yelp local listings
- Audit backlink reports
- Monitor and analyze website performance using SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, etc.
Content Strategy and Optimization: - Work with the content team to develop SEO-friendly content strategies.
- Optimize existing content for search engines and user experience.
- Ensure content is aligned with the latest SEO guidelines and trends.
Technical SEO: - Conduct technical SEO and UX audits and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Apply directly as able and work with website platforms and third parties to implement SEO fixes and enhancements.
- Ensure website structure, code, and other technical elements comply with SEO best practices.
- Using mostly HTML and CSS, code onsite pages.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: - Provide regular reports on SEO performance, including insights and recommendations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO and digital marketing trends and technologies.
Team Collaboration and Leadership: - Mentor and guide junior SEO team members.
- Foster a collaborative environment with other departments to ensure cohesive digital marketing efforts.
- Represent the SEO team in cross-departmental projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record of success
- Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz)
- Experience with Wordpress, HTML, and CSS for SEO purposes
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with an adaptive mindset
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data in an understandable manner
Preferred Qualifications: - College degree in Marketing or related field
- SEO certification(s) from recognized organizations
- Experience in local SEO and managing multi-location SEO strategies
- Automotive experience
- Bilingual
This position works full-time in the Birmingham, Alabama office.
